moonrise kingdom as a fantasy adventure !! this was for one of my finals where i redesigned suzy as a magic princess escaped from an oppressive kingdom and sam as an orphaned vagabond who traverse the land to find the legendary moonrise kingdom where they can live peacefully together ~
they’re a little bit older, but i still tried to maintain the innocence of the real movie!

Today was my last day teaching at MICA.
I feel incredibly privileged to have gotten to know so many talented young artists here, whether its just been one semester or all 4 years. Becoming a teacher is one of the best things that’s ever happened to me, both as a person and as an illustrator, and I’m so grateful to the MICA faculty and students that have supported me along the way. It’s a truly amazing school, I’m gonna miss you all!! (Stay in touch, guys! Come visit me in Brooklyn!)

Thanks for all the happy memories. Let’s all draw awesome stuff!

(And thanks to my Advanced Digital Illustration class & my TA Noelle for indulging me in taking lots of silly photos on the last day!)

i grew up in suburbia and then a beach town, it was a valuable change but now im cursed with the necessity to live beside water! no pets though…!! and bubert is my babe and a taurus. my hobbies are making bubble rings at the bottom pools and being a shounen hero

yeah sure!!! my sister and brother are my favorite people and best friends in the universe, both older than me and also the coolest cats youll ever meet. they make super good food and we make lots of stuff together
my mom likes long walks on the beach and my dad has funny toes

sorry i havent been posting much, i havent been into most of the stuff ive been making. however, this was a fun experiment with isometric pixels (even though i did it mostly wrong but shhh) - i had to illustrate another student’s embarrassing story about making out with the parents around, thinking they had no idea

i forgot to save the original pixel file before enlarging it so downsizing it for tumblies kinda wonked it out buuuut whatevs !

My laptop recently died, and since it’s necessary that I have a computer to work and finish school, I had to get a new one. I need all the help I can get to pay for it, though!

$10- a full-color, full-body sprite
